As Colorado grows, protecting what makes our home special is vital.
Join us in conserving the land and water that unite us.
Join Palmer Land Conservancy and our friends Guidestone Colorado and Central Colorado Conservancy for the Salida premiere of MIRASOL, Looking at the Sun.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Ben Knight, MIRASOL challenges us to think about land and water use through an intimate portrait of the rural farming community in Pueblo, Colorado, as they fight to protect their water and land and, in turn, their culture and livelihood.
For years, Ben Knight and his family called the Upper Arkansas Valley home. His love of the valley, the Arkansas River, and the stories of Pueblo inspired him to partner with Palmer Land Conservancy and direct his latest film, MIRASOL, Looking at the Sun.
Let's raise our glasses to vital conservation work happening in the Upper Arkansas Valley with an opening reception that will include locally sourced, Pueblo-inspired food, libations and good conversation. Come connect with your neighbors and friends ahead of the screening. Following the film, there will be a Q&A panel discussion.
