Grab your bike and hit the trail with Palmer Land Conservancy for our third annual Bike the Bessemer event – a fun-filled and educational ride showcasing Pueblo County’s premier agricultural lands and important water resources.
With a brand new bike route, there will be something new for everyone whether you joined us last year or this is your first time saddling up with Palmer. Your morning will include an easy and enjoyable 12-mile bike ride with stops at local farms and farm-stands where you will receive a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their operations. While you’re there, purchase some fresh produce and we’ll shuttle it back to your car for you. Along the way, we will ride near the historic Bessemer Irrigation Ditch and learn about the importance of this critical water resource to maintaining Pueblo’s agricultural heritage.
After your ride, enjoy an Upslope Brewing beer or cold beverage and a delicious farm-to-table lunch featuring ingredients sourced directly from the farmers in Pueblo County, catered by Richard Warner, the founder of Bingo Burger. Your registration will include a farm-to-table lunch program.
Lunch will include:
